VIRGIN ATLANTIC SELECTS McKECHNIE AEROSPACE AFTERMARKET GROUP FOR ALL PMA DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPLY-CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Agreement allows McKechnie to coordinate PMA activities for increased savings fleet wide

Feb. 24, 2004 - The McKechnie Aerospace Aftermarket Group announced today that it has entered into a long-term agreement with Virgin Atlantic that names the company as the airline's exclusive development partner and supplier of PMA parts. Signed earlier this month, the agreement calls for the McKechnie Aerospace Group to proactively manage all future PMA development programs and also assume responsibility for the procurement and inventory strategy of existing PMA parts in support of Virgin Atlantic's existing fleet of twenty-eight A340 and Boeing 747-400 aircraft.

According to Stephen Henderson, President of the McKechnie Aerospace Aftermarket Group, the signing of this agreement was an important milestone for McKechnie. He noted that, "Over the last twenty years, Virgin Atlantic has developed a reputation for `raising the bar' in all areas of operation. We're exceptionally proud that they selected our organization to help further improve fleet readiness and cost-of-operation through the efficient use of value-added PMAs."

McKechnie Aerospace, a pioneer in a process the company calls Solutioneeering, concentrates its significant engineering and supply-chain support resources in helping operators realize maximum value and return of investment from their aircraft during its entire life cycle. Utilizing a unique strategy of close collaboration with major manufacturers, principals and operators, the Group has quickly risen to become a leading value-added PMA supplier and supply chain partner to major airlines and MROs.

Virgin Atlantic is the second largest airline in the UK and the third largest European carrier over the North Atlantic. Since its inception in 1984, the airline's route network has grown to include destinations in the US, Caribbean, Far East, India and Africa. Noted for having one of the industry's youngest fleets and an exceptional operational record, Virgin Atlantic has won virtually every award the travel industry has to offer.
