Pin latches are intended for shear application on an aircraft cowl or doors. A shear pin can be oriented either around the longitudinal or perpendicular to the main axis of the latch. Numerous design features and terminology cover our pin latches. The latch consists of a retractable shear pin which can either be operated by hand or by a mechanic’s standard tool. Double-shear pin, and multiple-pin latches are available.
